New development is driving growth all over the metroplex but I must say, one of my current up and coming favorites is Roanoke. In the past years, we visited Roanoke for the best chicken I have ever tasted at Babe’s. The last couple of years, this small town has brought in BIG TOWN restaurants. Along with the restaurants came new housing, apartments, businesses and a great community feel. It is like stepping back in time but with a modern feel. It also doesn’t hurt that the quaint shops are not only surrounded by food but also great entertainment. If you decide to take a look, also check out the new mixed-use area called The Magnolia. The Magnolia is located on Oak street and will offer office, residential and retail areas.
